Haggipavlu Estate Chardonnay – Semillon 2019


Tasting notes

A fine wine showing a high aromatic complexity, tropical fruits aromas appear in combination with dried nuts and slight herbaceous notes. Creamy texture along the palate, persistent with minerality at the finish.

Pairing: Dried cured ham. Micuit foie gras. Cheese: Brie, Camembert, Roquefort. Seafood paella. Roast duck or poultry.

This wine is made from a delicate blend of 85 % Chardonnay and 15 % Semillon grape varieties which combine in perfect harmony. The grapes come from our privately owned vineyards found on the south slopes of Troodos mountain range with an altitude of 850 m above the sea level.

A short maceration of crushed grapes is carried out at a low temperature for a greater extraction of the aromas. The mixture is gently pressed and fermented in steel tanks, and a 20% of the juice is fermented in oak barrels. Ageing on lees for about 3 months.
